Principal’s Message
We are a Catholic Full Primary school, with a maximum roll of 195 children, serving the Glen Innes and surrounding areas. We were founded by the Holy Faith Sisters in 1958 and continue to follow this faith charism.
At St Pius X, our committed and dedicated staff set high expectations for achievement and behaviour and aim to work in partnership with families to provide the best possible education for all our children. We are a school where children have positive and enjoyable learning experiences and want to learn. We are part of the Manaiakalani Cluster of schools which is leading the implementation of twenty-first century teaching and learning in New Zealand. We are a digital school where all students from Years 5 to 8 use their own chromebook and younger students use technology as much as possible to enhance their learning. All students in our community have access to free wireless internet at home through the Tamaki Learning Net.
